Giving back to the community
As a community minded organization, Trail Whisper Race Series believes in giving back to the community. Wherever our events are held, we do our best to support local businesses and local charities. Charities are supported through a presence on our website and through racer, volunteer and supporter donations on our race registration pages. We also run non-perishable food drives for local food banks and donate “unopened” food supplies from our events to local shelters.

North Shore Rescue
North Shore Rescue is a volunteer-driven search and rescue team serving the public—24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Ready to respond when help is needed most.
North Shore Rescue was founded in September 1965, emerging as the Mountain Rescue Group disbanded. The team began as a heavy urban search and rescue unit, originally intended to support Civil Defense in the event of a nuclear attack. Early training covered building reinforcement, welding, nuclear fallout measurement, riot control, firefighting, auto extrication, and first aid.
Today, North Shore Rescue concentrates on mountain search and rescue, helicopter rescue, urban search and rescue, and public education—delivering a life-saving service to the community, 24 hours a day.

Save Your Skin Foundation (SYSF) is a national patient-led not-for-profit group dedicated to the fight against non-melanoma skin cancers, melanoma and ocular melanoma through nationwide education, advocacy, and awareness initiatives. Save Your Skin Foundation is committed to playing an active role in reducing the incidence of skin cancer in Canada, and to providing compassionate support for all Canadians living with skin cancers.
SYSF was founded by North Vancouver resident and melanoma survivor Kathleen Barnard. In 2003, Kathleen was diagnosed with stage IV malignant melanoma, and by the time Save Your Skin Foundation was established in 2006, Kathleen’s cancer had spread to her vital organs, and her treatment options were limited. Fortunately, one of her sons discovered a trial treatment taking place in Alberta; this trial saved Kathleen’s life.
It started at Dirty Duo… read the story of how the foundation started.
Save Your Skin Foundation is committed to ensuring equal, timely, affordable, and appropriate access to skin cancer treatment for all Canadians, by engaging in public and private industry, health policy, and systemic treatment access issues with cancer agencies, government, and drug-approval bodies across the country.

The CSP provides first-aid services at 230 alpine and Nordic ski areas across Canada. Last year they provided 40,000 hours of first-aid services at off-snow events including running events, mountain bike races, concerts, etc.
