Trail Whisperer was founded by Gottfried Grosser. He was dedicated to creating fun challenges for trail runners. These challenges were exhilarating and set in the coastal BC mountains. He created and was race director for the Frosty Mountain Ultra and Tenderfoot Boogie Trail race events. Sadly, in November 2021, Gottfried passed away. Before he passed, he asked Benji Chu to take on Trail Whisperer, to continue his legacy.
In 2023, Trail Whisperer Race Series became the new home of four unique trail races: Hallow’s Eve, The Phantom Run, Dirty Duo and Iron Knee/Tender Knee. These North Shore races have been around for over 20 years. They were formerly with Foretrails and before that Mountain Madness. These races are unique because training is offered by way of 9-10 weeks of Saturday clinics leading up to each of the events. A great community of trail runners and clinic leaders will help runners navigate the trails. Our clinic leaders generously share their knowledge of trail running.
